Q How many hours tuition will I need to pass my test?
A
There is not a set number of hours. The national average is 47 hours with an Approved Driving Instructor, plus 20 hours with another driver.

Q When can I apply for my provisional licence?
A
You can apply for your provisional driving licence* 2 months before your 17th birthday.

Q When can I start driving?
A
You must not drive on the road until you have the provisional driving licence in your possession and you must wait until your 17th birthday.

Q Who can take me driving?
A
Your provisional licence entitles you to drive a car but you must have L-Plates displayed, appropriate insurance cover and be supervised at all times by a full UK licence holder that has held a full UK licence for 3 years and is a minimum age of 21.

Q What is the Theory Test?
A
The Theory Test contains 50 multiple choice questions and 15 hazard perception video clips. You must pass this test before you are allowed to apply for the practical driving test. The DVSA publishes a wide range of official learning materials. These include books, CD-ROMs and DVDs to help you prepare for your theory test. You can purchase these from high street book stores or online.*

Q When can I take my practical Driving Test?

You can apply for the test on successful completion of the Theory Test. You will need the Theory certificate pass number when applying. It is recommended that you liaise with your instructor to check your suitability for the practical Driving Test.*

Q What if I am not completely satisfied with the instruction I am receiving?
A
I aim to make every customer satisfied with the tuition I give and welcome any complaint that you may have and hopefully through discussion it will be resolved.
